- 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup wheat berries
- 1/2 cup quinoa, rinsed
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/2 cup medium pearl barley
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 6 cups water
- Milk, brown sugar, chopped nuts and apple slices, optional
Instructions
- 1. In a 6-qt. electric pressure cooker, combine the first 11 ingredients. Lock lid; close pressure-release valve. Adjust to pressure-cook on high for 25 minutes. Allow pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure. Serve with optional ingredients as desired.
