- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat in egg. Add cocoa and milk. Whisk together flour and baking powder; fold into creamed mixture with walnuts and chocolate chips. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
- 2. Roll rounded tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until set, 10-12 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on pans before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
